India’s all-rounder, Shivam Dube’s brisk fifty helped Mumbai post 251 against Kerala on the opening day of their Ranji Trophy Elite Group B match at the St Xavier’s College Ground, Thumba, on Friday.
Dube, who joined the Mumbai squad after a successful IND vs AFG T20I series, continued his purple patch and rescued his side from a precarious position.
Mumbai were struggling at 106/5 when Dube took the aggressive route and put on a 45-run stand with Shivam Mulani.
Dube’s 51-run knock involved four fours and two before Gopal had him caught behind.
Shivam Dube makes strong case for T20 World Cup spot
Shivam Dube was the find of the recently concluded IND vs AFG T20I series. The all-rounder scored two back-to-back fifties in first two T20Is and also contributed with the ball, picking up two wickets in three matches.

Dube was named the Player of the Series for his all-round performance. The CSK all-rounder has given an almost perfect audition for the T20 World Cup which starts in June.
