Ranji Trophy: Sarfaraz’s brother Musheer among runs for Mumbai again, bails team out of trouble

Ranji Trophy: In his innings of 55, Musheer Khan slammed six boundaries, and scored at a strike-rate of 42.

Once again, upcoming all-rounder Musheer Khan has impressed with his performance in the Ranji Trophy 2024. In the low-scoring semi-final against Tamil Nadu, the 19-year-old youngster came up with a solid 55 from 131 balls, as Mumbai were chasing TN’s first innings score of 146.

In testing conditions, the U19 World Cup star, put his foot down and played a solid innings to give his team a position of strength. While all the other batsmen failed to score runs, including India caps Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane, Musheer bailed his side out of trouble.

In the quarters of the Ranji Trophy too, Musheer was among the runs, as he scored 203 not out against Baroda. His fine form has continued for the colts World Cup, where he scored 360 runs in seven matches, at an average of 60.

As far as the match is concerned, first Tamil Nadu were bundled out for 146, with Tushar Deshpande claiming three wickets for Mumbai. In reply, Mumbai had reached 159/7 after 56 overs.
