Ranji Trophy: Record-breaker Tanmay Agarwal falls for 366 from 181 deliveries

Ranji Trophy: Hyderabad's Tanmay Agarwal missed out on a few other records, as he was dismissed for a mammoth 366 runs.

Finally, after a Herculean effort, Hyderabad opening batsman Tanmay Agarwal fell for 366 from 181 balls. The left-hander, in the Ranji Trophy encounter against Arunachal Pradesh, had created a world record for fastest triple hundred in first-class cricket on Friday.

Tipped to break a few records on the second day of the encounter, Tanmay could only add 43 runs from his overnight score of 323, and was removed by Tempol. The best part of his innings was, that he maintained a strike-rate of 202 throughout, hitting 34 fours and 26 sixes.

This is also the highest number of sixes hit in a first-class innings, as Tanmay surpassed the previous record held by Shafiqullah Shinwari (24) of Afghanistan in 2018, against Boost.

As far as the Hyderabad match is concerned, the team at one point, scored at a rapid rate of 11.02.
