UP – 213/5, UP win by 5 wickets

  • All over! Thanks to Karan Sharma’s 93, UP have chased the total down at the loss of 5 wickets and have become the first team to secure a semi-final place.
  • UP need little more than 100 runs to win and book their tickets for the semifinal.
  • Hope for KAR, Aryan Juyal has departed 1 as he follows his first innings score of 5 to sum up his disappointing Ranji return, Vijaykumar Vyshak has produced the breakthrough.
  • KAR are bowled out for 114 as UP will need 213 runs to book a place in the semifinal.
  • KAR have now extended their lead in excess of 200, which gives them a good fighting chance.

  • Bengal finish Day 5 on 318/7. With this, they have qualified for the semi-finals owing to their first-innings lead.
  • All out – Jharkhand are bundled out for only 298 runs by Bengal. Bengal are coming out to bat again.

Mumbai vs Uttarakhand

Suved Parkar’s double century on First Class debut helped Mumbai post a huge 647-run total in their first innings before declaring. Apart from Parkar, Sarfaraz Khan continued his fine run, smashing 153 while Sams Mulani scored 59. Uttarakhand were then all out for 114, while in the second innings, Mumbai declared at 261/3. Uttarakhand failed to turn up in the second innings as well, getting all out for 69 to hand Mumbai an emphatic win.

Karnataka vs Uttar Pradesh:

Karnataka struggled and put up a first innings total of 253. But Uttar Pradesh batting collapsed with Ronit More bagging three wickets. UP were bowled out for 155, handing Karnataka a healthy lead. But Karnataka’s batting collapsed too and failed to capitalise on the lead. Saurabh Kumar was the wrecker in chief once again as Karnataka were bundled out for 114. UP then chased the total down at the loss of 5 wickets to secure a semi-final place.

Bengal vs Jharkhand:

Bengal made use of the batting-friendly surface to their best, putting up a huge total of 773/7 before declaring. Every single batter of their top 9 scored 50+, which happens to be a world record. Meanwhile, Jharkhand scored 298 runs in the first innings. Bengal ended day 5 at 318/7 and made it to the semis owing to their first innings lead.

Punjab vs Madhya Pradesh:

MMP scored 397 runs after Punjab were bowled out for 219 in the first innings. In the second innings, Punjab were bowled out for 203 runs, before Madhya Pradesh scored 26/0 to secure a place in the semis.
