Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand will fight it out with the quarterfinals matches beginning on June 6 in Bengaluru. Bengal vs Jharkhand, 1st Quarterfinal: 

  • Bengal are still waiting on the news of Mohammed Shami, if they get the clearance from the BCCI to play him.
  • The speedster had a productive IPL 2022 and has been rested for the South Africa series.
  • Shami’s teammate at Gujarat Titans (GT) Wriddhiman Saha has however refused to play for Bengal due to his ongoing tussle with the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).
  • While Bengal will be the favourites, it is worth pointing out that Jharkhand took a staggering 1008-run lead in the pre-quarterfinal against Nagaland.

  • Karnataka are the second-most successful team in the history of the Ranji Trophy and will have the home advantage against Uttar Pradesh.
