Ranji Trophy 2022: S Sreesanth out of GUJ vs KER tie – S Sreesanth who failed to get a team in the IPL 2022 Auction will be missing his and Kerala’s second Ranji Trophy game against Gujarat in their Elite Group A game scheduled to commence tomorrow at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. Sreesanth took to social media to reveal that injured himself during practice and is hardly able to walk and thus naturally would not take part in the next game against Gujarat. The 39-year old pacer who registered himself for IPL 2022 failed to attract any bids for him in the IPL 2022 Auction that took place in Bangalore a couple of weeks ago.

Taking to a microblogging website Sreesanth wrote, “EXTREMELY SORRY TO INFORM U ALL..I’VE GOT INJURED BADLY DURING TPDAY PRACTICE SESSION..AND CAN. HARDLY WALK.. WON’T BE PLAYING THIS MATCH”

He further wrote, “Love and respect to each and everyone one of u..I won’t give up” #never ever give up”

The 39-year-old who was banned from cricket for seven years for spot-fixing during the IPL 2013 made a comeback to cricket after his ban was served. He played his team’s first Ranji Trophy 2022 game and picked two wickets against opponent Meghalaya.

Sreesanth has been ruled out of Kerala vs Gujarat Ranji Trophy 2022 game

Kerala defeated Meghalaya comprehensively by an innings and 116 runs. Meghalaya batted first and was sent to the pavilion after scoring a mere 148 runs. Sreesanth scalped 2 wickets by giving 40 runs with an economy of 3.40. Kerala in reply scored 505-9 before declaring their innings. Sreesanth scored 19 runs for his side in a knock that consisted of 2 fours and a solitary 6.

GUJ vs KER Ranji Trophy 2022 match will be played at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on 24th February 2022 from 9:30 AM.
