Ranji Trophy Finals: Chetan Sharma MISSING from Attending Finals between Bengal vs Saurashtra, Chief Selector set to BARRED from Selection Meeting – Check Out
Chetan Sharma’s arrival in Kolkata is yet to be confirmed. However, it can be assumed that after being involved in such a major controversy, Sharma is most unlikely to be present. Moreso, Sharma’s presence in the upcoming Selection Committee meeting is uncertain. The BCCI is most likely to bar Chetan Sharma while the apex body continues to conduct an internal investigation.
“It’s an uncomfortable situation for sure. Obviously, players won’t be happy when unpleasant things come in public from the chairman of the selection committee. We are aware that the selection meeting is scheduled immediately after the Ranji final. It’s up to the secretary to take the final call. But it is unlikely that Chetan would be allowed as we cannot allow player discontent because of one person,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.
