Chahal played his last Ranji game against Rajasthan in 2018
Chahal played his last Ranji match against Rajasthan in 2018. The right-arm spinner managed to grab three wickets in the first innings as the match ended in a draw. He bowled a total of 33 overs and gave 107 runs in that innings. To note, Chahal made his Ranji debut against Madhya Pradesh in 2009.
Haryana received a bashing against Himachal Pradesh in their opening encounter
Haryana will be boosted by the return of their star leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. The Haryana side received a thrashing in their opening match of Ranji Trophy 2022-23. Playing against HP, Haryana were bundled out for a mere 46 runs in their first innings. In reply, HP scored a mammoth 487/4 before declaring their innings. In the second innings, Haryana managed to score 353 runs before losing their all ten wickets. Hence, they lost the match by a margin of 88 runs and an innings.
On the other hand, Baroda played a draw against Odisha but their batters in exceptional form. The likes of Shaswat Rawat, Priyanshu Moliya and Abhimanyu Rajput stroked centuries with the bat.
