Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fans are on cloud nine after the team secured the services of Rishabh Pant for Rs 27 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. LSG were involved in a fierce bidding war with Delhi Capitals, and it lasted until DC decided to use the Right to Match (RTM) card. However, LSG decided to up the bid following which DC decided to drop out of the race.

While it was expected that Punjab Kings, led by head coach Ricky Ponting, will go all out to procure the services of the southpaw, they bagged Shreyas Iyer for a whooping Rs 26.75 crore, leaving them with no room to accommodate Pant. LSG bid for Pant right from the start and ensured that they broke the bank to get the southpaw.
