Rahul Dravid channels his inner Virat Kohli while playing at NCA, becomes the new ‘wrong-footed menace’

For those unknown, Rahul Dravid has five international wickets to his name against the 24,208 runs he has mustered!

Former India coach and batting maestro, Rahul Dravid, recently surprised fans with a glimpse into his less-known cricketing persona. A video that surfaced on social media showcased the legendary batter enjoying a casual cricket session with the support staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in local state Bengaluru.

Dubbed as the ‘Wall of Cricket’, Dravid’s batting style was the epitome of classical cricket. However, the video revealed a different side to the Wall. The usually composed and reserved cricketer was seen bowling with a surprising degree of enthusiasm, reminiscent of another Indian batting stalwart – Virat Kohli.

Dravid’s bowling action was far from orthodox. Instead, he adopted a ‘wrong-footed menace’ approach, similar to Kohli’s occasional bowling stints. The unexpected display of bowling skills from a man primarily revered for his batting prowess left fans amused and intrigued.

Dravid recently capped off his Indian head coach role with a historic T20 World Cup victory. While the world has been accustomed to seeing Dravid in a mentor’s role, the viral clip offers a refreshing perspective on the man behind the coach. The great man is now rumoured to take charge of his former IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR).
