The race for the most World Cup runs between Kohli and Sharma is not only a matter of personal pride but also a reflection of their contribution to the team’s success. Both the players have played crucial innings in different situations. While Kohli has been more consistent and composed, Sharma has been more explosive and dominant.

However, personal milestones will be the last thing in both batter’s mind as they will look to take the team to 5th successive win in the tournament. The Men in Blue doesn’t hold a good record against the Kiwis in the ICC event.

In the nine ODI World Cup matches between both teams so far, Kiwis have an edge over Indians, winning five times. India have won three matches, while one match ended without a result.
