R Ashwin explains ‘climate change is real’ through Netflix show clip

Using a short clip from Netflix show ‘Kaala Paani’, R Ashwin explained that climate change is real, and we need to be prepared for it.

India all-rounder R Ashwin is the smartest cricketer around, not only on the field, but off it as well. One of India’s most successful spinners, Ashwin posted a lengthy tweet on X, where he spoke about climate change and the adverse effects one can see. Like many others, Ashwin too is caught in Cyclone Michaung in Chennai, where heavy flooding has taken place.

While posting a small clip of the OTT show ‘Kaala Paani’ on Netflix, Ashwin wrote, “I rest my case!🙏🙏We need to value lives and also put a value on our lives. If we don’t expect a certain standard for ourselves, no one else is going to knock on our door and give it to us.

&&&&& finally!

Climate change is real and make no mistake, all of us that think this is someone else’s problem have to wake up because it’s coming for us and we better be prepared.”

Cyclone Michaung & Its Devastating Effects

Until Wednesday, nine people had lost their lives in the floods in Chennai and Chengalpattu districts. Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government has also announced that the schools and colleges in the Chennai district will remain closed on Friday as well, as the relief work is underway in most of the areas.
