After scoring 182 in the first innings, Hyderabad had a tough task of defending the total, and they just managed to cross the line, as PBKS fell short by only two runs. Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma did really well and strung a partnership of 66 from 27 balls.

In what can be called a closely-contested match, SRH registered a win by two runs only. With 29 runs to defend in the last over, Jaydev Unadkat failed to control the flow of runs, and leaked 27, as Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma made hay. Nonetheless, it was still enough for Sunrisers Hyderabad to register yet another win.
