PCB’s dreams of putting PSL on the same pedestal as the IPL might just be thwarted soon. For sometime now, it has become clear that the Pakistani board wants to hold their marquee T20 tournament in the same months as the IPL. But, now it seems that the PSL franchise owners aren’t really on the same page, and have expressed their dissatisfaction.

It seems that the team owners aren’t really convinced, that clashing with the IPL will help them commercially. The letter also talks about the feasibility of holding four matches of the tournament outside Pakistan. Detailed costs for the same, and also the advantages for the move have also been asked.
Two New Teams in PSL 11
If all this was not enough, the owners are worried about the inclusion of two new teams, that would reduce their central revenue pool and the schedule of the league. There is also alleged discontent among the owners about the PCB press release that talks about the franchises’ agreement with the board, over various matters. Also, there were also questions raised over PCB’s unfulfilled promise to create a separate company for the PSL.
