Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 when? The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be tangled in order to prepare for next edition of PSL. They now face a schedule crunch, especially after the announcement of SA20 2025 fixtures. The South Africa’s premier T20 franchise tournament will start from January 09 and will go on for exactly a month, with reserve day of the final scheduled for February 09.
PSL to clash with IPL 2025?
With SA20 occupying the January-February window, Pakistan Super League will be left with no other option but to clash with IPL 2025. And this move could prove to be fatal for the former owing to player unavailability and their commitments to IPL franchises. The pull for IPL is any day bigger than PSL, courtesy of involvement of more money and a better league as an overall package.
While PSL is a big money earner for PCB, the country will host the much-anticipated ICC Champions Trophy. The preliminary schedule for the Champions Trophy is from 21 February to 14 March, meaning PSL will need to be played from late March onwards. This would force the PSL board members to clash a schedule alongside IPL.
SA20 Fixtures for 2025 season
“Season 3 is set to be bigger and better, with a fantastic lineup of matches that will captivate our fans,” Graeme Smith, who is Betway SA20 League Commissioner, said. “We’re thrilled to start the season in Gqeberha with our defending champions and look forward to an action-packed summer of cricket. As we welcome international talent to the roaring pool of local stars, we aim to deliver an unforgettable experience for both players and fans alike.”
Apart from this, the auction for the SA20 2025 will take place on October 1. Meanwhile, the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg will host the summit clash of the third edition of SA20.
