PSL 2022: Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting and Pakistan pacer Sohail Tanvir exchanged offensive gestures during the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators at Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore today in the Pakistan Super League 2022. During 2018 in the Carribean Premier League, Ben Cutting, who was playing for St.Kitts and Nevis Patriots, smashed Sohail Tanvir for a six over long on. In the next ball, Tanvir bowled an terrific yorker and Cummins was dismissed. Tanvir celebrated the wicket by showing his middle finger to the batsman as he walked back. Tanvir was reprimanded for that gesture back then as he was fined 15% of his match fee.

Remembering that incident which happened four years ago, Cutting now rekindled the rivalry. Playing for Peshawar Zalmi who were batting first, the incident happened in the 19th over when Tanvir came on to bowl. Cutting smashed two sixes in the first two balls and showed both his middle fingers to the bowler. He continued his aasault in that over as he hit two more sixes in the over to score 27 runs off that over. The players also exchanged few words at the end of the over.

However, Tanvir had the last laugh as Cutting was dismissed in the next over, mis-hitting a delivery that landed staright into the hands of Tanvir. After taking the catch, he replied back to the batsman by showing the same gesture.
Ben Cutting scored valuable 36 runs off just 14 balls guiding Peshawar Zalmi to a total of 185. Both the teams are currently find themselves in the fifth and sixth positions at the points table and both the teams are in a desperate need of a victory in this game.
