Team India’s T20 star Suryakumar Yadav has sustained an ankle injury which has reportedly ruled him out till February. Notably, the the 33-year-old sustained an ankle injury during IND vs SA 3rd T20I on December 15.
The scans revealed that Suryakumar reportedly suffered a Grade-II tear in his ankle which has forced him out of action for seven weeks. The Indian batter is set to miss the India vs Afghanistan T20I series, starting on January 11.

Suryakumar Yadav took to Instagram on Sunday to share a reel of himself walking with a crutch, featuring the audio of a humorous dialogue from the movie ‘Welcome.’
“On a slightly serious note, injuries are never fun, but I’ll take it in my stride and promise to be back, fully fit, in no time!
Till then, hope you all are enjoying the holiday season and finding little joys, everyday”, Suryakumar captioned the post.
While Suryakumar will miss the Afghanistan T20Is, he is expected to recover in time for IPL 2024, which is scheduled to commence at the end of March.
