The trio of skipper, head coach and batting coach expressed their faith in Shaw and insisted that the youngster should not be disheartened and look at the positives from the situation. Coach and Captain assured Shaw that he would get his chance in the coming matches, and till then he should take this as an opportunity to improve his game.
Prithvi Shaw received the words of encouragement and after the trio’s support, Shaw seems to be motivated. Now Shaw will be determined to work hard and prove himself in the upcoming matches.

During the toss, India’s T20I captain Hardik Pandya mentioned that they are playing with an unchanged batting combination in this second T20I match against New Zealand. This also means that Prithvi Shaw will once again be warming the bench and wait some more for his opportunity.
However, Prithvi made a comeback into the Indian team after scoring loads of runs in domestic cricket across formats. Recently he smashed a record 379 runs in a Ranji Trophy match.
On the other hand, in the first T20I against New Zealand, Ishan Kishan scored just 4 runs while Shubman got out after scoring 7 runs. The team management’s decision to leave out Prithvi Shaw from the playing 11 for India’s second T20 against New Zealand has come under heavy criticism from cricket fans.
