Predicted India Women’s Playing XI vs ENG – What to Expect?

It is no surprise that star batters Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Varma will open the batting. A lot will depend on the dynamic duo to give the India team a big start. Mandhana with her deft classy style and Varma the young prodigy with her aggressive intent complements each other.

At number 3, Jemimah Rodrigues will come to bat while the hard-hitting brawler Harmanpreet Kaur occupies her designated number 4 slot. It is interesting to see that like the openers, the playing style of Harman and Jemimah are quite dissimilar yet they complement each other.

Number 5 comes as a piece of selection headache. The wicketkeeper’s spot is undecided and other the candidates are equally deserving. Be it the confident Yastika Bhatia or the powerhouse Richa Ghosh. Both the players are good keepers and Amol Muzumdar, the head coach will have a lot to ponder in picking the right player.

Down the order comes the slot for the all-rounders. Deepti Sharma is an automatic pick and needs no second thoughts for the same. Sneh Rana is a strong candidate to play at 7 as the duo will look to play the role of an anchor.

With a set batting lineup and all-rounders down, it is now time for the bowlers. The pace attack is likely to be led by Pooja Vastrakar, Renuka Singh, and Meghna Singh. Rajeshwari Gayakwad will be the lone specialist spinner to be accompanied by Sneh Rana and Deepti Sharma.
