Sunrisers Hyderabad steamrolled past Delhi Capitals to register a dominating win by 67 runs runs. However, DC assistant coach Pravin Amre has claimed that his side has shown good intent during the mammoth run chase. He further praised Jake Fraser-McGurk’s batting after the young batter showed tremendous firing intent.
Credit to Head and Abhishek Sharma
Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and unleashed their carnage from the very start. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma created history after bringing up 125 runs in the powerplay. Interestingly, it was also the highest powerplay score registered in T20 cricket.
“Credit to the way Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma batter during the powerplay. The intent we have shown was incredible. We have also seen how Jake Fraser-McGurk can bat in his innings. He he would have batter 2 more overs, we would have had a chance,” said Delhi Capitals assistant coach Pravin Amre after the match.

Jake Fraser-McGurk too Good
For Delhi Capitals, it was the 22-year-old all-rounder that lead the charge. The young Australian, Jake Fraser-McGurk slammed a magnificent 65-run knock from 18 balls, hitting 7 sixes in the process. But in the end, DC couldn’t continue their momentum and the visitors secured the game.
“In his innings he hit 7 sixes. I think that was remarkable. As a batsman the good thing is that he can play both the pace and spin bowling. That was a very good sign for us because it was a first match we were playing at out home ground. The way we have shown a good intent was one of the positives,” Pravin Amre added.
