Pravin Amre credits Rishabh Pant for ‘special knock’ against Gujarat Titans

DC vs GT: Delhi Capitals assistant coach Pravin Amre credited Rishabh Pant for slamming special knock against Gujarat Titans

Delhi Capitals did the double over Gujrat Titans. If it was the bowlers who marked in the first game, it was the batters who rocked this encounter. And it was DC skipper Rishabh Pant who stole the headlines with a sensation unbeaten 88-run knock. His majestic innings helped him earn praises from DC assistant coach Pravin Amre.

Rishabh Pant steals show

Hungry to put up a big score, Rishabh Pant unleashed his carnage against Gujarat Titans. The Delhi Capitals skipper went at hammer and tongs at the opposition. He started scoring runs at a brisk pace hitting the loose balls for boundaries for fun. He remained unbeaten on 88 from 43 balls, slamming 5 fours and 8 sixes in the process.

“During the first time out, we were discussing on what could be the ideal score. Rishabh was confident. He said 180 was the score at the time being, but claimed the score could be more. And he single-handedly batted really well to help us score 224 runs,” said Pravin Amre after the game.

“It all started with a two-week camp in Vizag. He came there and prepared himself. At that time, he was at the NCA. I remember on Day 1 of the Vizag camp, he came to the ground from the airport. It is all about his hard work which is paying now. It was a special knock for him,” Amre added.

“It was a very good game of cricket. They came very close but in this format of the game, even a 1-run win is a victory for us,” Amre concluded.
