The dates for the postponed IND vs AFG T20I series is finally confirmed. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday released Team India’s fixtures for International Home Season 2023-24. The Men in Blue will start the new year by hosting Afghanistan for maiden white-ball bilateral series.

Notably, the series was first scheduled to be played in June, but was later postponed due to end of broadcast deal with Disney+Hotstar and the West Indies tour. A BCCI official, earlier, stated that both boards are trying to conduct the series in September but now it will be played in January 2024.

“We will try to host the series in September. We are in touch with ACB on possible dates. Once the West Indies itinerary is finalised, we will have a clear picture and finalise the dates for the series,” senior official had told Insidesport.

The three-match IND vs AFG T20I series will take place in Mohali and Indore, with the final taking place in Bengaluru.

The series will not be part of the Future Tours Programme.

India to begin home season with Australia series

Team India will begin their home season with IND vs AUS ODI series ahead of World Cup 2023. Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot will host the ODIs on September 22, 24 and 27, respectively. Following the ODI World Cup, India will play a five-match T20I series against Australia, beginning on 23rd November in Vizag. The series will conclude on 3rd December in Hyderabad.
