About Yash Dhull

The Delhi-born cricketer became a sensational news right after his appointment as captain for team India in ACC U19 Asia Cup 2022 and for India U19 World Cup 2022 squad. The middle-order right-handed batsman has also captained Delhi Under-16 and Under -18 teams earlier. Notably, he played for the Delhi Under-14 team at the age of 12 years.

Dhull not only led his team to the 2022 U19 Cricket World Cup title but he also managed to stand-out with his batting performance in a side that was effectively a cauldron overflowing with talent. He finished the tournament with 229 runs from 4 innings at an impressive average of 76.33 and his tally included a century against Australia that turned heads.

Career

Domestic Career

Yash Dhull made his first class debut in February 2022, just a couple of weeks after lifting the U19 World Cup in the West Indies, against Tamil Nadu and he didn’t set a foot wrong. He became only the third batter to make a century in each innings (113 & 113*) on Ranji Trophy debut. He was the leading run-scorer in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy in the 2021-22 season held in September-October. where he secured 302 runs for the Delhi Districts & Cricket Association (DDCA) in the five games with an average of 75.50.

IPL career

Yash Dhull will represent Delhi Capitals in the upcoming IPL edition. Overall, he has played only four matches in IPL and scored 16 runs so far. Dhull is yet to show his full capabilities in the IPL. However, the right-handed batter will bel itching to do well in the upcoming IPL 2024.
