About Shashank Singh

Shashank Singh, a right-handed batsman and right-arm offspinner, gained attention after his impressive performance of an unbeaten 29-ball 61 for Punjab Kings against Gujarat Titans during IPL 2024.

Having moved across various teams such as Sunrisers Hyderabad (2022), Rajasthan Royals (2019-21), and Delhi Daredevils (2017), Shashank eventually settled at Punjab.

Growing up playing in Mumbai’s renowned Kanga League, where he earned a reputation as a six-hitter, Shashank’s unconventional style faced challenges in breaking into the domestic cricket scene.

Feeling frustrated with sporadic opportunities over three seasons, he spent a season with Puducherry in 2018-19 before finding consistency with Chhattisgarh, where he became a regular player across different formats.

Interestingly, Shashank played a crucial role in Chhattisgarh’s historic victory over Mumbai in domestic cricket. During the 2023-24 season, he achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the first Indian to score over 150 runs and take five wickets in a single List-A match, against Manipur.
