Sai Kishore

Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, born on November 6, 1996, is an Indian cricketer who represents the Indian national cricket team. His international debut came during the 2023 Asian Games match against Nepal. Sai Kishore represents Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket and currently captains the team in the Ranji Trophy. Additionally, he leads the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League.

Career 

Domestic career 

He debuted for Tamil Nadu in List A cricket during the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on March 12, 2017. His first-class debut for Tamil Nadu came in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on October 14, 2017. Sai Kishore made his Twenty20 debut for Tamil Nadu in the 2017–18 Zonal T20 League on January 8, 2018.

In the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy season, he emerged as the top wicket-taker for Tamil Nadu, securing 22 dismissals in six matches.

IPL Career 

In the 2020 IPL auction, he was purchased by the Chennai Super Kings for his base price of ₹20 lakh for the 2020 Indian Premier League. Later, in the 2022 IPL auction, he was acquired by the Gujarat Titans for ₹3 crore.

International Career

In June 2021, he was selected as one of five net bowlers for India’s tour of Sri Lanka. Due to a positive COVID-19 case in the Indian team, Kishore was promoted to India’s main squad for the final two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches of the tour.

In January 2022, he was named as one of two standby players in India’s T20I squad for their home series against the West Indies.

He represented India in the 2022 Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China, where the team secured the Gold medal.
