Akash Singh

Akash Singh, born on April 26, 2002, in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, is a promising Indian cricketer known for his left-arm medium-fast bowling and right-handed batting style. He plays for Baroda in domestic cricket and has represented various IPL teams, currently being a part of the Lucknow Supergiants squad.

Early Career

Akash’s cricketing journey began with Rajasthan, where he made his Twenty20 debut during the 2019–20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He was part of India’s U-19 squad in the 2019 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup and went on to represent the nation in the 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Later, he moved to Baroda, continuing to develop his game at the domestic level.

IPL Journey

Akash’s first IPL stint was with Rajasthan Royals, who picked him during the 2020 auction. However, he was released after the season and re-acquired by the Royals in the 2021 auction. In 2023, he joined Chennai Super Kings as a replacement for the injured Mukesh Choudhary, and in 2024, he signed with Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he has continued to hone his skills as a fast bowler.

Playing Style

A left-arm medium-fast bowler, Akash stands out due to his aggressive approach and ability to generate seam movement. He is known for his sharp in-swingers and the bounce he gets from the pitch, making him a challenging bowler for the opposition.
