Players to watch out for in IND vs SA Test series

Here is the list of five Indian players to watch out for in the IND vs SA Test series. The first Test will start from December 26.

India are ready to clash with South Africa in the two-match Test series which is starting from December 26. After the T20I series draw and victory in the ODI series, IND vs SA Test will be a decider of India’s tour to South Africa. After a break from the ODI World Cup 2023, India’s star batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be in action in the upcoming series. Ahead of the opening match between SA and IND, let us look at the players to watch out for.

Virat Kohli

Even though Kohli returned to his home due to some family emergency, he will be back for the 1st Test match. King Kohli has scored the most runs as an Indian player in Centurion. All are expecting a classy knock from him.

Rohit Sharma

The Indian captain will try to lead front the front. He would like to score runs quickly, so that India does not feel pressured and Proteas get the chance to go heavy on them.

Jasprit Bumrah

Bumrah will play a Test match after a long break. In South Africa where pacers get help from new ball, Bumrah would like to make the most out of it.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Ashwin will be trying to accomplish a milestone in Test cricket in the IND vs SA series. He is just 11 wickets shy from registering his 500th Test wicket. Ashwin also has an amazing record against Proteas. He has taken 56 wickets in 13 matches.

Yashasvi Jaiswal

Jaiswal has impressed everyone with his talent in the two Test matches he played in West Indies. He scored 266 runs in that series. He has the potential to give a solid and quick start to India.

India Test squad: Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad, KL Rahul (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah (VC), Prasidh Krishna, KS Bharat (wk).
