Players Kolkata Knight Riders might retain ahead of IPL 2024 Auction

List of players that Kolkata Knight Riders might retain ahead of IPL 2024 Auction.

After a lackluster IPL 2023 season, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will look to turn things around at the IPL Auction 2024. The Knight Riders ended the last season ranked 7th, winning just 6 of their 14 matches. With their skipper Shreyas Iyer returning, KKR has a few difficult decisions to take before the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League. Here is the list of players that the KKR management may retain in the hopes of winning their third title.

Three players KKR might retain

  1. Shreyas Iyer: The skipper did not participate in the last season due to injury but has been a constant performer for India ever since he returned from injury.
  2. Rinku Singh: Having played less than 20 matches prior to the 2023 season, Rinku ended the edition as KKR’s leading run scorer. Despite coming to bat at number 6, the southpaw made 474 runs at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.53 and will forever be remembered for his heroics against the Gujarat Titans.
  3. Nitish Rana: The cricketer from Delhi was named as the replacement skipper and stood when it mattered the most. The interim skipper scored 413 at an exceptional strike rate of 140 and proved to be a handy part-time spinner for the Riders, taking 3 wickets.
