An all-rounder, he is a very useful seamer in helpful conditions as well as a very competent batsman in the lower order. He has a debut Test hundred to his name but it’s in the limited-overs format that he has been most effective. James Neesham’s International Debut: Neesham started playing for New Zealand in 2012. His debut match was a T20 in South Africa. He soon played in the ODI format also and made his Test debut in 2014.

James Neesham’s Test Record: Neesham came into Test cricket with a bang when he scored a debut hundred. But that innings didn’t prove to be a harbinger of things to come as he didn’t follow up that performance with more such efforts. He hasn’t played a Test since 2017.

James Neesham’s ODI Record: While his Test career may not have flourished, the Kiwi all-rounder has become a very useful member of the ODI team. He is especially good in home conditions where he could get the ball to swing.

James Neesham’s T20 Record: Neesham remains a useful T20 player for New Zealand though he hasn’t set the stage on fire. Like ODIs, the 30-year old comes into his own in home conditions.

James Neesham’s IPL Record: The ambidextrous cricketer has played only two seasons of IPL, that too, six years apart. In his nine matches so far in the league, he doesn’t have any notable contribution.
