Former Indian Cricket Team skipper and ex-BCCI President Sourav Ganguly heaped praises for Virat Kohli. King Kohli as he is commonly known registered a World Record when he surpassed Sachin Tendulkar and now has become the only batter to slam 50 ODI tons. Kohli achieved this rare feat in the IND vs NZ semi-finals World Cup clash and Sourav Ganguly was immensely happy with the ace batter reaching a mega milestone.

“It was an outstanding innings. 50 hundreds is phenomenal. It is a fantastic record in ODIs” said Sourav Ganguly when he was questioned by the media regarding Virat Kohli’s incredible innings.

When questioned if anyone would be able to break Kohli’s record, Sourav Ganguly was prompt with his answer. “I don’t know about that (smiling) but it will take a lot of beating to beat this. And he is not finished yet.”

Talking about the performance of the Indian Cricket Team, the former Indian skipper was very happy with the performance of the Men in Blue. “India is playing really well. Shreyas Iyer too scored a century. Let India win this game and then we can think about the final. One step at a time.”

“Everyone in the team is playing really well. Rohit, Gill, Virat, Iyer, Bowlers, Spinners, it is a complete side,” Sourav Ganguly concluded.
