The PCB has granted NOCs to players Azam Khan and Fakhar Zaman, to play in the CPL. As per a report in GeoSuper, as many as four cricketers were given the clearance to play in the tournament that begins on August 30. Having said that, the board declined the NOC for Saim Ayub.
This means that Azam Khan will play for Guyana Amazon Warriors, while Fakhar Zaman will play for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. On the other hand, Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, who made Pakistan comeback at the T20 World Cup, will also be playing in the CPL.
The PCB had earlier denied NOCs to Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi, since they have already participated in the Global T20 League Canada. The PCB limits the participation of these players in foreign T20 leagues.

Also some of the top players do need rest with a busy schedule that lies ahead of the Pakistani team, including the Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistani players, for now, can only participate in two foreign T20 leagues, apart from the PSL, that too is subject to them getting clearance from the board.
