Good news for Pakistan Cricket Team. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has gone on to purchase a building just outside the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The under constructed building will be converted to hotel to provide accommodation to local and international players.
The PCB has gone on to spend around 4 billion Pakistan Rupees to buy the multi storied building. The building was constructed in close proximity to the stadium. The PCB had previously raised concerns regarding security. After legal technicalities, the construction of the building was paused.
PCB Spends Huge Money to build Hotel
However, now the PCB has gone on to buy the building from the owner. Reports claim that the building will be converted to a hotel. Currently, the players stay at a local hotel which means the PCB has to spend a huge amount of money for the same. As for security concerns, the roads connecting the stadium to the hotel are also blocked.
But once the construction of the hotel is completed then it would be greatly reduce traffic and money spent by the PCB. However, for the complete construction of the hotel, more funds will be needed to be spent by the PCB. Reports further claim that PCB also plans on building a hotel near the Karachi Stadium.
