The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed its first-ever female manager. Hina Munawar is currently employed by the Pakistan Police and is a veteran of the Frontier Constabulary in the high-risk SWAT region. Munawar will act as the Pakistan cricket team’s Operations Manager for the upcoming Tri-series against South Africa and New Zealand and the ICC Champions Trophy.

“Perhaps her appointment is aimed at streamlining operations within the team and between players and the board, as she has worked in strategic and leadership roles, helping to streamline various operations,” a source close to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) told PTI.
Naveed Akram Cheema will continue as Team Manager while Munawar holds a new role. This isn’t the first time the female officer has worked with the PCB. Munawar joined the board last year and was the Team Manager for the Pakistan Under-19 women’s cricket team at the Under-19 Women’s Asia Cup 2024.
“She made history as the first female district officer in the Frontier Constabulary in Swat, breaking gender barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field,” the source added.
