PBKS entered the IPL 2023 auction with the second-highest auction purse and they made good use of it by signing talented players. PBKS made Sam Currans the costliest player ever in IPL history bagging him for Rs 18.50 crore. PBKS also signed Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza at his base price of Rs 50 lakh.
Coming to the Indian players the Punjab franchisee got the experienced Chhattisgarh batter Harpreet Bhatia for Rs 40 lakh in an accelerated round. They also brought young Karnataka pacer Vidwath Kaverappa alongside uncapped Indian cricketers Shivam Singh and Mohit Rathe at their base prices of Rs 20 lakh each.
