PBKS Playing XI vs SRH: KL Rahul’s Punjab Kings all set to drop Deepak Hooda for Shahrukh Khan, Follow Live updates – The last-over debacle from Fabian Allen, Aiden Markram and Deepak Hooda against Rajasthan Royals will haunt Punjab Kings and its skipper KL Rahul for a long time. They needed just four runs to win from six balls and yet two established batters failed to get the required mark. But it was Deepak Hooda’s disappointing show that could be singled out and as Punjab Kings face bottom-dwellers Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, he is all set to be dropped for Shahrukh Khan.

Deepak Hooda had a disappointing evening against RR. He was taken for a ride by Mahipal Lomror for 24 runs and ended up conceding 37 runs in two overs. With the bat, he lasted two balls departing for a duck. Especially, that he failed to score any against an inexperienced Kartik Tyagi will be the talking point.

PBKS Playing XI vs SRH in IPL 2021: Shahrukh Khan, who was once hailed as the Indian Kieron Pollard by coach Anil Kumble, is likely to return to the Playing XI after an unimpressive IPL 2021 Phase 1. However, the Tamil Nadu batsman has the ability to turn a match and as PBKS are facing an uphill task in playoff battle, needing to win last five games, he is set to get another shot at redemption.

In Phase 1, Shahrukh Khan managed 107 runs from 7 innings at an average of 21.40. Although he did well under pressure with a 36-ball 47 against Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium and blasted Delhi Capitals bowlers in a five-ball 15, the next four innings failed to return any positive results. But back in TNPL 2021, he was impressive with an average of 52.50. After Deepak Hooda’s failure, he is all set to come back to the Playing XI.
