The IPL 2025 Auction went well for PBKS, as they managed to get the big fish, Shreyas Iyer for a massive price of 26.25 Cr. That made him the second most expensive player in the history of the IPL. Post that they continued to buy good players including the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal and Arshdeep Singh, for 18 Cr each.
All-rounder Glenn Maxwell returned to the franchise where he played, perhaps the greatest season. Nehal Wadhera, Vijaykumar Vyshak and Harpreet Brar were also added to the squad. Meanwhile, they had an excellent addition on the second day, with South African all-rounder Marco Jansen for 7 Cr. On the other hand, Aussie keeper-batter Josh Inglis was included for only 2.6 Cr.
Lockie Ferguson and Musheer Khan were the other notable inclusions for the franchise in the latter stages of the IPL Auction.

PBKS Purse Left for IPL 2025 Auction
After bagging Arshdeep Singh for 18 Cr, Yuzvendra Chahal (18 Cr), and Shreyas Iyer for 26.75 Cr, PBKS were left with 47.75 Cr in their purse. Another 4.5 Cr to Glenn Maxwell. After a buying spree on Monday, where they completed their 25-member squad, they were only left with 35 lakh in their purse.
