Sunrisers Hyderabad etched out a thrilling 1-run victory against Rajasthan Royals. SRH skipper Pat Cummins went on to heap praises for Bhuvneshwar Kumar for bowling a brilliant spell. Bhuvneshwar was adjudged as the Man of the Match after bagging 3-wickets and helping his side beat the table toppers.
Bhuvi was tasked to defend 13 runs in the last over. The veteran Indian pacer went on to ace 6 yorkers to perfection to win the game for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Pat Cummins claimed he never imagined that they could get a wicket off the last ball. RR needed 2 runs to win off the last ball and a single run to take the game to the Super Over.
Huge praises for Bhuvneshwar Kumar
“Amazing game. Didn’t think we had that one until literally the last ball. (What was going through his head in the last over) It is T20 cricket, you get used to the batters getting over the line. When you get to the last over, you do feel anything can happen. Bhuvneshwar nailed six yorkers. On the last ball, it did not really cross my mind that we could get a wicket, was thinking Super Over,” Pat Cummins said after the game.
“Natarajan is an awesome yorker bowler. They batted really well, fortunately got a few wickets. (On the dropped chances) They are quality players, cannot give them chances. He (Nitish) is fantastic, summed up the conditions really well – took the first ten balls to get himself in and then basically hit it wherever he wanted. He is amazing, is great in the field and gives a couple of handy overs as well,” Pat Cummins concluded.
