Indian all-rounder Kunal Pandya who was a part of the Mumbai Indians was released by the Mumbai outfits ahead of the IPL 2022 Auction. Starting from a base price of 2 Crores, the Lucknow Super Giants roped in the fine all-rounder to bolster both their batting and bowling prowess. A fierce battle ensued among the Chennai Super Kings and the Punjab Kings. Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad joined in the battle quite late and quickly raised the price of the player. And ultimately it was the Lucknow outfits who emerged victorious in the bidding battle and took home Krunal Pandya.
Pandya played 13 matches in IPL 2021 where he scored 143 and managed to pick 5 wickets. It might have been a decent run for Krunal last year, however, the Gujrati all-rounder will be eager to put his bad form behind and showcase his talent in the IPL 2022 for his new team LSG.
