Pakistan’s move to fill stadiums: Free entry announced for Rawalpindi Test against Bangladesh

The Pakistan Cricket Board offers free entry to the remaining two days of the first Test against Bangladesh to boost spectator turnout at Rawalpindi.

To boost spectator turnout over the weekend, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced free entry for the remaining two days (fourth and fifth) of the first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. This initiative aims to encourage families and students to watch the match, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.

In recent Test series, Pakistan has seen very low turnout at the Rawalpindi Stadium, especially when teams like England and New Zealand visited. This decision might help boost spectator numbers and rekindle the excitement among people to watch Test matches.

Restrictions on free entry offer

Please note, the free entry offer does not apply to tickets already bought for the PCB Gallery or Platinum Box. Fans who have already purchased tickets for the fourth and fifth days will receive a full refund. For online ticket purchases, refunds will be automatically credited to the credit/debit card used for purchase. Those who bought tickets at Express Centres need to bring their original tickets to the centre for a refund.

Spectators can enter the stadium without charge by presenting their original CNIC or B-form (identity card in Pakistan). They can choose to watch the match from any of the VIP enclosures (Imran Khan and Javed Miandad), which are reserved for families, or from the premium enclosures (Miran Baksh, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir, and Yasir Arafat).
