Pakistan's misery increases manifold, Abrar Ahmed hospitalized during PAK vs ENG 1st Test

The Pakistan Cricket Team has been dealt a massive blow. Leg spinner Abrar Ahmed is missing from action on Day 4 of the PAK vs ENG 1st Test in Multan. As per reports, the player is currently running a high fever and thus has been hospitalized. Taking advantage of the missing leggie, England continued to pile on Pakistan’s misery the visitors have now taken a lead of over 100 runs.

Pakistan desperately needed wickets early on PAK vs ENG 1st Test Day 4 in Multan. But with Abrar Ahmed missing, they had to rely on Salman Agha, Saud Shakeel, and Saim Ayub for their spin attack. As the Multan pitch offers to be a batter’s paradise, Joe Root has slammed an unbeaten 250 while Harry Brooke has notched up his double hundred as well.

“Bowling options for Pakistan are limited today. Abrar Ahmed has been hospitalized. He’s suffering from a fever,” said Ramiz Raja during commentary on Day 4.

With the player currently hospitalized, there is no chance that he can make a return to action today. It also remains to be seen when and how the player recovers. Should Abrar Ahmed be discharged today later in the evening, the Pakistan Cricket Team won’t take the risk of using him tomorrow of the game as well.

With the Test match heading to a draw, Pakistan would be hopeful there won’t be much of an injury scare in the team. The hosts batted well, but England showcased their world-class batting talent as they crossed the massive first innings total set by the hosts in Multan.
