ICC Champions Trophy co-hosts Pakistan have finally unveiled their jersey for the marquee event. The team’s fresh attire for the event was unveiled during the opening ceremony of the renovated Gaddafi stadium in Lahore on Friday. With less than two weeks to go for the tournament, the renovation works at the stadiums across Pakistan are finally complete after having missed multiple deadlines.
Pakistan’s jersey for Champions Trophy out
The Pakistan Cricket Board also released a promo featuring skipper Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman and women’s cricketers Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana. Pakistan will kick-start their Champions Trophy campaign by taking on New Zealand on February 19. They will then play against arch-rivals India in Dubai on February 22 and then will return to Pakistan to face off against Bangladesh in the final group stage match.

The renovation of the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore is a significant milestone for Pakistan as it prepares to host the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The stadium’s upgrades, including brighter LED lights, larger score screens, and comfortable seating, are part of the PCB’s efforts to provide a world-class cricketing experience. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi hosted a luncheon for the labourers who worked hard to get the stadium ready.
