Earlier, reports stated at Waqar Younis was all set to join the side as an advisor in August. The formation of this new board is a part of the PCB’s efforts to reform cricket as they are dealing with multiple issues including failures in World Cups, disciplinary issues and allegations of favouritism in selection.

I am bringing in former stars to vet and improve the cricket system and end this culture of personal likes and dislikes,” PCB chief Moshin Naqvi said on Monday.
