Zimbabwe Select won the 6-match ODI series 4-2, and despite the ball-tampering incident, the main focus of the match was the outstanding display by the Zimbabwean batters.
Senior batter Craig Ervine fell just five runs short of a double century as he made 195 off 145 balls. He and Innocent Kaia (92 runs) stitched a 187-run partnership for the second wicket after Joylord Gumbie fell for a duck on the second ball of the match. Ervine and Kaia propelled them to an enormous score of 385 for the loss of seven wickets.
The Kamran Ghulam-led side failed to contain the Zimbabwean batsmen throughout the innings. Mohammad Ali was the pick of the bowlers after taking 2 wickets for just 32 runs from his seven overs, while Shahnawaz Dahani had a tough day at the office, conceding 105 runs from his 10 overs and failing to pick up a wicket.
Rohail Nazir (87) and Kamran Ghulam (56) made valuable contributions with the bat, but it was Mubasir Khan who stood out among the Pakistani batters as he made 115 off 77 balls and gave their side a sliver of hope. He fought till the very last over but ultimately fell short of the total as Pakistan lost by 32 runs.
