Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi issued strict instructions for timely completion of the renovation works in Lahore’s Gaddafi stadium. The venue is among the two stadiums which are currently being upgraded ahead of the Champions Trophy in 2025. Even as renovations works are ongoing in full swing, it remains uncertain if the tournament will be moved out of the country due to India’s unwillingness to travel or should a hybrid model be adopted.

Will India travel to Pakistan?
So far, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has maintained that it will follow the government’s directive. As things stand, the Government of India is in no mood to relent. The BCCI hasn’t even requested the Govt of India to reconsider its position.
