Pakistan Playing XI: Ashraf replaces Nawaz for Super 4 clash against Bangladesh

Pakistan will take on Bangladesh in their Super 4 clash to be played on September 6 (Wednesday).

Pakistan Playing XI vs Bangladesh is already out. Babar Azam and Co played the same XI in both their group games. But for the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 clash against Bangladesh, they have left out Mohammad Nawaz. In comes Faheem Ashraf, the medium-pacer, was included in the XI on the eve of the PAK vs BAN fixture. Leaving left-arm spinner Nawaz out could be because of the many left-hand batters in the Bangladesh line-up.

Pakistan are undefeated against Bangladesh in home conditions

Bangladesh are yet to beat Pakistan in Pakistan in any format. They have lost each of their meetings in 11 ODIs, five Tests and three T20Is. However, Shakib and Co. have a chance to defy all the odds and completed a historic win against the Men in Green. However, it may not come as easy with the Men in Green being in red hot form.

Speaking about Bangladesh XI, Litton Das, who has recovered from the illness that kept him out of the group stage, is expected to walk back into the top order in place of Naim. It will be interesting to see if he opens, or if Mehidy Hasan Miraz remains there after his century against Afghanistan.
