"It is big news for the ILT20 that the Pakistan Cricket Board will be issuing (no objection certificates) to its players," said ILT20 CEO.

In a good news for Pakistani cricketers, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given them a green signal to participate in the second edition of the ILT20, the UAE-based franchise tournament. To note, ILT20 has a huge investment from India with several franchises being owned by the likes of Mukesh Ambani and Shahrukh Khan.

“It is big news for the ILT20 that the PCB will be issuing (no objection certificates) to its players. We are hopeful of seeing top quality Pakistani players featuring in ILT20 in season two. It will give a boost to the competition, and we are looking forward to it,” Subhan Ahmed, CEO of ILT20 was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

It is yet to be confirmed which players will feature in the cash-rich league. To note, ILT20 concludes just before the start of the country’s own franchise competition, the Pakistan Super League (PSL). It also overlaps with tournaments including the Big Bash League (BBL) in Australia, the Bangladesh Premier Leaguec(BPL), and the new South African T20 event (SA20).

Players like Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim have been regulars in Australia’s Big Bash League in the past. However, the stars of Pakistan cricket could be tempted to switch to the UAE competition given the enviable salaries on offer. At present, Pakistani players are participating in the Lanka Premier League with no international schedule slated nearby.
