Pakistan out of T20 World Cup? What happens if rain disrupts PAK vs CAN match

In the ongoing T20 World Cup, Pakistan have lost two back-to-back matches.

The T20 World Cup match between Pakistan (PAK) and Canada (CAN) is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The match is very crucial especially for Babar Azam and Co. who have already lost back-to-back matches.

In the ongoing T20 World Cup, Pakistan is very desperate for two points and will be looking to open their account in the upcoming PAK vs CAN match but what if rain foils their plans. Will Pakistan be out of T20 World Cup? Let us find out.

What if PAK vs CAN is abandoned due to rain?

Pakistan have had a horrible T20 World Cup campaign so far, reeling at fourth position in the points table with two consecutive defeats.  So, they must win their remaining three matches in order to stay in the Super Eight contention. However, if today’s encounter against Canada gets called off due to rain, Pakistan will have to be satisfied with a single point.

So, even if they win their remaining two games, Pakistan will be stranded on five points, while the United States (currently second with 4 points) will require a solitary win in two outings to proceed to the next stage.

PAK vs Canada weather report

As the Men in Green gear up for their third group-stage clash, serious doubts loom over the Pakistan vs Canada game, with precipitation chances reading 25 per cent during the game. However, the fans might get to see a full match with weather seems to be clear during the match time.
