Pakistan has ‘no concerns’ over Jay Shah becoming ICC chairman, claims PCB chief

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that the board was in touch with Jay Shah after he was elected the new ICC chairman

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi has claimed that the board had no concerns over BCCI secretary Jay Shah becoming the new ICC chairman. Shah was elected unopposed to the position at the end of August, replacing Greg Barclay. While Jay Shah will move on to the ICC, Mohsin Naqvi is all set to become the new Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chairman.

PCB has no problem with Jay Shah becoming ICC chairman

We are in touch with Jay Shah; there are no concerns about his becoming ICC Chairman. The ACC meeting is on September 8 and 9,” Naqvi told reporters, as quoted from Geo News.

Naqvi further claimed that he would not be attending the ACC meeting and instead Salman Nasir would be participating instead. He added that the meeting will finalise the matters related to who would be the body’s next president.
