The never-ending saga surrounding the Chief of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took a new turn after the Chairman of the PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf resigned on Friday ahead of General Elections. Ashraf took over the role from Najam Sethi in June last year.
Ashraf announced his decision during the fourth management committee meeting at PCB’s National Cricket Academy in Lahore on Friday.
“I was working for the betterment of cricket but it is not possible for us to work in this way. Now it is up to Prime Minister [Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar], whomever he nominates,” Ashraaf said at the committee meeting, as quoted by Geo News.
