PAK-W vs SL-W Highlights: Kulasuriya keeps calm as SriLanka Women seal last ball thriller, beat Pakistan by 1 run to reach Final – Watch Women’s Asia Cup Highlights

Batting first, Sri Lanka Women struggled to score at pace with a slow surface on offer. Captain Chamari Athapaththu was the first to be dismissed for 10. Anushka Sanjeewani and Harshitha Madavi did bulk of the scoring, taking SL past the 100-run mark. Late boundaries from Hasnini Perera and Kavisha Dilhari meant that SL managed 122 on the board. For Pakistan, Nashra Sandhu was the pick of the bowlers with a spell of 3/17.

Pakistan meanwhile got off to a fine start in their run chase with Muneeba Ali looking particularly dominant. Bismah Maharoof held one end as Pakistan looked in command coring well over 7 runs an over in the powerplay. SriLanka however hit back by containing the runs in the middle overs. With 23 need fo of the last four overs, Ranaweera dismissed both Bismah Mahroof and Nida Dar to turn the tide. Ayesha Naseem and Aliya Riaz buckled under pressure and Sri Lanka eventually managed to seal a 1-run win.

India-W Team in FINALS – Winner of SL-W vs PAK-W to play INDIA: Indian Women team has already made it to the FINAL of the tournament. Once again Thailand proved to be a mismatch for the star studded Indian line-up and lost the Semifinal by 74 RUNS.

India gave modest looking 149 runs challenge to the Thai team. In reply, Thailand could only manage 74/9 in 20 overs. Deepti Sharma was the wrecker in chief with 3 wickets for 7 runs in 4 overs.

Earlier Thailand bowlers gave good account of themselves as they restricted India-Women team to 148/6 in 20 overs.

None of the star Indian batters could score big as Thailand kept taking wickets at regular intervals. Shafali Verma was the top scorer with 28 ball 42, Harmanpreet contributed 36. Little know Right Arm Offbreak bowler Sornnarin Tippoch bagged 3 wickets for just 24 runs to surprise the Indian team:

India made 3 changes to the XI. Harmanpreet Kaur, Renuka Thakur, Radha Yadav are brought in for S Meghana, Meghna Singh and Kiran Navgire.
